NGT STRATEGY 4.8 – TRADINGVIEW & BYBIT SETUP GUIDE
How to Install, Configure and Automate NGT Strategy with Bybit
The NEXT GEN TRADE STRATEGY 4.8 can be used directly on TradingView and connected to Bybit Futures Webhook Signal Trading for automated trade execution.
Once correctly configured, the complete process works automatically:
NGT Strategy on TradingView → TradingView Alert → Bybit Webhook → Bybit Futures Order
The strategy can automatically manage:
- Initial LONG Entry
- Safety Order 1
- Safety Order 2
- Safety Order 3
- Smart DCA Protection
- Profit exits
- Maximum Profit Target
- Optional advanced emergency exits
- Full-position closing signals
The NGT Bybit version creates dynamic webhook messages for every entry, Safety Order and exit generated by the strategy.
1. BEFORE YOU START
You will need:
- an active TradingView account
- access to NEXT GEN TRADE STRATEGY BYBIT 4.8
- a TradingView plan that supports webhook alerts
- Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) enabled on TradingView
- a Bybit account
- funds available in your Bybit Unified Trading Account
- a supported Bybit Perpetual/Futures trading pair
TradingView requires 2FA for webhook alerts, while Bybit currently requires a paid TradingView plan with webhook functionality for Webhook Signal Trading.
IMPORTANT
Bybit Webhook Signal Trading currently supports One-Way Mode only. Hedge Mode is not supported.
Before starting the NGT Strategy, make sure the selected trading pair on Bybit is configured in:
Position Mode → One-Way Mode
Bybit also requires a separate Webhook Signal strategy for every trading pair.
2. ACTIVATE YOUR NGT STRATEGY ACCESS ON TRADINGVIEW
The NGT Strategy is provided through TradingView as an Invite-Only script.
After your Free Trial or paid NGT subscription has been activated, access is granted to the TradingView username you provided.
TradingView displays the Invite-only scripts section only after an author has granted access to at least one Invite-Only script.
Add NGT Strategy to your chart
Open TradingView and:
1. Open Supercharts
2. Select Indicators, Metrics & Strategies
3. Open Invite-only scripts
4. Find:
NEXT GEN TRADE STRATEGY BYBIT 4.8
5. Click the strategy to add it to your chart
The strategy should now appear directly on your TradingView chart.
3. SELECT THE CORRECT TRADING PAIR
Select the same Bybit Futures trading pair on TradingView that you want to automate on Bybit.
For example, if your Bybit webhook is created for BTCUSDT Perpetual, your TradingView chart must also use the corresponding Bybit BTCUSDT Perpetual market.
This is critical because Bybit requires the symbol selected for Webhook Signal Trading to correspond to the symbol running the TradingView strategy.
Use standard candlestick charts
We recommend using normal TradingView Candles.
Do not use synthetic chart types such as:
- Heikin Ashi
- Renko
- Kagi
- Range
- Point & Figure
The NGT Strategy uses real OHLC candle information in parts of its logic, including DCA recovery detection.
4. RECOMMENDED CHART TIMEFRAME
Recommended: 3 MINUTES
The NGT Strategy is a Multi-Timeframe Strategy. You do not need to manually switch between different timeframes.
The strategy internally analyzes:
- 1D long-term trend
- 4H trend and protection conditions
- 2H Safety Order conditions
- 1H trend and Safety Order conditions
- 15M reversal confirmations
- 5M exit RSI
- 3M entry RSI
The main entry trigger is based on the 3-minute RSI crossing upward through the configured Entry RSI level, while higher-timeframe conditions determine whether the trade is permitted.
For this reason, we recommend running the strategy on a 3-minute standard candlestick chart.
5. VERY IMPORTANT – SET THE STRATEGY START TIME
Before creating your live TradingView alert, open:
NGT Strategy → Settings → Inputs → Strategy Start Time
Enable:
Enable scheduled strategy start
Then set:
Strategy start date and time
We recommend setting the start time approximately 5–10 minutes into the future while completing the final setup.
The NGT Strategy contains a dedicated scheduled start function and will not generate new strategy actions before this time.
Why is this important?
When a TradingView strategy alert is created, TradingView creates a separate server-side copy of the strategy and first calculates its historical state before moving into realtime operation.
Starting NGT at a fresh scheduled time helps ensure that your automated Bybit operation begins from a clean state.
For a new automation setup, the first live NGT trade should normally be a new Initial LONG Entry — not a Safety Order or exit belonging to an old simulated position.
6. CREATE THE WEBHOOK ON BYBIT
Log in to Bybit and open the Futures contract you want to automate.
Go to:
Trade → Futures → Select Trading Pair → Tools → Webhook Signal Trading
Then click:
Create Now
Configure:
Symbol
Choose the exact trading pair you are using on TradingView.
Position Mode
Select:
One-Way Mode
Signal Name
For example:
NGT Strategy 4.8 – BTCUSDT
Then click:
Create Webhook
Bybit requires a separate webhook configuration for every individual trading pair.
7. COPY TWO IMPORTANT VALUES FROM BYBIT
After creating the webhook, Bybit will provide:
1. Webhook URL
and
2. Message Template
You will need both.
Do not share your Webhook URL publicly or with another person. Bybit specifically warns that anyone with access to the URL could potentially send false signals to it.
8. CONFIGURE THE BYBIT WEBHOOK INSIDE NGT STRATEGY
Return to TradingView.
Open:
NGT Strategy → Settings → Inputs → Bybit Futures Webhook
You will see two fields.
Bybit Webhook URL – reference only
You may paste your Bybit Webhook URL here for your own reference.
IMPORTANT
This field is reference only.
It does not connect TradingView to Bybit.
The actual Webhook URL must later be entered in the TradingView Alert → Notifications → Webhook URL field. The strategy itself explicitly marks this input as reference-only.
9. PASTE YOUR BYBIT MESSAGE TEMPLATE
This is one of the most important parts of the setup.
In Bybit, copy the complete Message Template generated for your Webhook Signal Strategy.
Then paste it into:
NGT Strategy → Settings → Bybit Futures Webhook → Bybit Message Template JSON
ALWAYS USE YOUR OWN BYBIT MESSAGE TEMPLATE
Your Bybit webhook contains its own strategy ID.
Bybit’s webhook template uses parameters including:
- symbol
- side
- quantity
- price
- trigger time
- maximum permitted signal delay
- strategy ID
- amount type
Bybit generates the strategy_id for the webhook strategy.
The NGT Strategy automatically replaces the TradingView placeholders in the template with the correct live values when a trade is generated.
Do not copy another customer’s Message Template or Webhook URL.
10. SET YOUR INITIAL ORDER VALUE
Open:
NGT Strategy → Settings → Trade Settings
Find:
Initial order value / USDT notional
Default:
55 USDT
This value represents the position notional value, not the margin amount.
The NGT Strategy automatically converts the selected USDT value into the appropriate coin/token quantity:
Order Quantity = USDT Notional ÷ Current Market Price
The script then rounds the quantity down according to the configured contract quantity step.
For example:
If:
Initial Order Value = 100 USDT
and the asset price is:
50,000 USDT
the approximate order quantity is:
100 ÷ 50,000 = 0.002
The actual margin required by Bybit will additionally depend on the leverage and margin configuration used on your Bybit account.
11. SET THE CONTRACT QUANTITY STEP
Find:
Contract qty step – round down
This setting determines the quantity increment used when NGT converts your USDT order value into contract quantity.
Different Bybit trading pairs can have different minimum quantities and quantity increments.
Therefore:
Always check the current Bybit contract specification for the selected trading pair and use an appropriate quantity step.
Bybit applies its normal minimum/maximum order quantity and contract restrictions to orders received through Webhook Signal Trading.
If the selected order value is too small or the quantity step is incorrect, the calculated quantity may become invalid or the exchange may reject the order.
12. SET YOUR LEVERAGE ON BYBIT
The NGT webhook message controls the trade signal and quantity, but it does not send a leverage setting to Bybit. The strategy’s webhook JSON contains symbol, side, quantity, price, trigger time, strategy ID and amount type.
Therefore, configure your desired:
- Margin Mode
- Leverage
directly on Bybit for the selected trading pair before starting the automation.
Bybit allows traders to configure margin mode and leverage for Futures positions from the order zone.
Leverage increases risk as well as capital efficiency. Use conservative risk settings appropriate for your account.
13. SAFETY ORDER SETTINGS
NGT Strategy includes three configurable Safety Orders.
Default settings are:
SAFETY ORDER 1
- Enabled: YES
- Price drop from Initial Entry: 1.0%
- Order size multiplier: 1.2×
- Closed 1H RSI oversold level: 30
- Reversal timeframe: 15 minutes
- Maximum execution rebound: 0.5%
SAFETY ORDER 2
- Enabled: YES
- Price drop from SO1 Entry: 4.0%
- Order size multiplier: 1.2×
- Closed 2H RSI oversold level: 30
- Reversal timeframe: 1 hour
- Maximum execution rebound: 0.5%
SAFETY ORDER 3
- Enabled: YES
- Price drop from SO2 Entry: 8.0%
- Order size multiplier: 1.2×
- Closed 4H RSI oversold level: 30
- Reversal timeframe: 1 hour
- Maximum execution rebound: 0.5%
A Safety Order is not automatically executed simply because price falls by the configured percentage.
The price level first arms the Safety Order. Execution then requires the strategy’s RSI reversal and confirmed reversal-candle conditions.
For new users, we recommend beginning with the default NGT settings until you fully understand the effect of each parameter.
14. UNDERSTAND YOUR MAXIMUM POSITION SIZE
The Safety Order multipliers are calculated from the Initial Order Value.
For example, with:
Initial Order = 100 USDT
and all three Safety Orders set to:
1.2×
the potential order allocation is:
- Initial Entry = 100 USDT
- SO1 = 120 USDT
- SO2 = 120 USDT
- SO3 = 120 USDT
Potential total position notional:
460 USDT
This is before considering leverage, fees, price changes and execution differences.
Always configure your Initial Order Value according to the maximum total exposure you are prepared to accept if all Safety Orders are executed.
15. SMART DCA PROTECTION
By default:
Smart DCA Trend Protection = ENABLED
and:
DCA Protection Mode = BALANCED
Balanced mode is the recommended default configuration in the current NGT Strategy.
Smart DCA Protection is designed to prevent Safety Orders from being executed too aggressively during weak higher-timeframe market conditions.
For first-time installation, we recommend leaving this module at its default settings.
16. EXIT SETTINGS
The default exit configuration includes:
Minimum Profit
0.2%
The normal profit exit requires both the configured minimum profit and the relevant 5-minute RSI exit condition.
Maximum Profit Target
Enabled by default at:
1.0%
The strategy can also optionally activate a direct minimum-profit exit after SO2/SO3.
The strategy sends full-position exit messages to Bybit when its exit conditions are triggered.
17. ADVANCED EMERGENCY EXIT
The Advanced Emergency Exit module is configurable but is disabled by default.
It can provide additional exit logic using:
- 4H weakness detection
- support-break protection
- rebound detection
- maximum loss protection
- confirmed 1D trend break
Do not enable advanced protection features until you understand how they may alter normal strategy exits.
18. CREATE THE TRADINGVIEW AUTOMATION ALERT
Once all NGT Strategy settings are final, create the TradingView alert.
Click:
Create Alert
or use the Alert button from the NGT Strategy / Strategy Tester.
Under:
Condition
select:
NEXT GEN TRADE STRATEGY BYBIT 4.8
Then select:
ORDER FILLS ONLY
This is the correct alert mode for NGT trade automation because the Bybit messages are attached directly to the strategy’s order-fill events.
TradingView supports a specific Order fills only mode for strategy alerts.
19. TRADINGVIEW ALERT MESSAGE – VERY IMPORTANT
In the TradingView Message field enter exactly:
{{strategy.order.alert_message}}
Do not add anything before or after it.
The NGT Pine code is specifically configured to place the dynamically generated Bybit JSON into each strategy order’s alert_message.
TradingView’s {{strategy.order.alert_message}} placeholder then passes that message into the alert.
This allows NGT to automatically send the correct:
- BUY Initial Entry
- BUY Safety Order 1
- BUY Safety Order 2
- BUY Safety Order 3
- SELL Exit
without creating separate trading alerts for every order type.
20. ENTER THE BYBIT WEBHOOK URL
Open the:
Notifications
section of the TradingView alert.
Enable:
Webhook URL
Paste the Webhook URL generated by Bybit.
Do not paste the Message Template here.
The correct configuration is:
Webhook URL field → Bybit Webhook URL
Message field → {{strategy.order.alert_message}}
TradingView sends the alert body to the specified webhook URL using an HTTP POST request. When the body contains valid JSON, TradingView sends it as JSON.
21. FINAL TRADINGVIEW ALERT CONFIGURATION
Before clicking Create, verify:
Condition:
NEXT GEN TRADE STRATEGY BYBIT 4.8
Trigger:
Order fills only
Message:
{{strategy.order.alert_message}}
Webhook URL:
Your unique Bybit Webhook URL
Strategy Start Time:
Set correctly
Symbol:
Matches the Bybit webhook symbol
Chart:
Standard Candles
Recommended timeframe:
3 minutes
Then click:
CREATE
22. START THE WEBHOOK ON BYBIT
Return to your Bybit Webhook Signal Trading page.
Bybit allows the webhook strategy to use either Market or Limit execution settings. Market orders execute immediately when the signal is received, while limit orders may remain unfilled until their specified execution condition is met.
Configure the execution method according to your trading requirements.
Then click:
RUN THE WEBHOOK
Your NGT Strategy is now connected to Bybit.
23. BYBIT TP/SL SETTINGS
NGT Strategy already contains its own entry, DCA and exit management logic.
For normal NGT-managed operation, we recommend not adding an additional Bybit webhook TP/SL system unless you deliberately want an independent exchange-side protection layer and fully understand how the two systems may interact.
Bybit’s webhook TP/SL is attached to executed entry signals and uses its own exchange-side logic.
Using multiple independent exit systems without understanding their interaction can cause the TradingView strategy state and actual Bybit position to diverge.
24. TEST THE SYSTEM BEFORE USING NORMAL POSITION SIZES
Before trading with your normal position size:
Start small.
Use a small Initial Order Value that still satisfies the minimum order requirements of the selected Bybit market.
Verify that:
- TradingView generates the signal
- TradingView Alert Log shows the alert
- Webhook delivery is successful
- Bybit receives the signal
- Bybit creates the correct order
- Direction is correct
- Quantity is correct
- Safety Orders use the expected quantity
- The exit correctly closes the position
TradingView allows you to inspect webhook delivery status in the Alert Log, while Bybit provides Webhook Signal details including triggered/trade time and executed strategy trades.
25. DO NOT MANUALLY TRADE THE SAME AUTOMATED POSITION
Once an NGT Strategy webhook is running, avoid manually opening, adding to or partially closing the same automated position unless you intentionally stop or resynchronize the system.
NGT maintains its own internal position state for:
- Initial Entry
- SO1
- SO2
- SO3
- weighted average position
- exits
Manual modifications on the exchange are not automatically equivalent to strategy orders generated inside TradingView.
For reliable automation, the TradingView strategy state and the real Bybit position should remain synchronized.
26. IMPORTANT – IF YOU CHANGE ANY STRATEGY SETTING
TradingView strategy alerts run as an independent server-side copy of the strategy.
Therefore, after creating an alert, changing the settings on the chart does not update the already running alert.
If you change:
- Initial Order Value
- Safety Order settings
- DCA settings
- RSI parameters
- Exit settings
- Emergency Exit settings
- Bybit Message Template
- trading pair
- chart timeframe
- Strategy Start Time
- or other relevant parameters
you should:
1. Stop/delete the old TradingView alert
2. Update the strategy settings
3. Verify the Bybit webhook
4. Set a fresh Strategy Start Time if starting a new cycle
5. Create a new TradingView alert
This is extremely important.
27. USING NGT ON MULTIPLE TRADING PAIRS
If you want to automate several Bybit pairs, repeat the complete setup for every pair.
Example:
BTCUSDT
- BTCUSDT TradingView chart
- NGT Strategy
- BTCUSDT Bybit webhook
- BTCUSDT Message Template
- BTCUSDT TradingView alert
ETHUSDT
- ETHUSDT TradingView chart
- NGT Strategy
- ETHUSDT Bybit webhook
- ETHUSDT Message Template
- ETHUSDT TradingView alert
Bybit currently requires a separate Webhook Signal Trading setup for each pair.
Never use the Webhook URL or Message Template from one Bybit symbol for another symbol.
28. DOES TRADINGVIEW NEED TO REMAIN OPEN?
No.
Once the TradingView alert has been correctly created, alerts are processed on TradingView’s servers.
You can close the chart, close your browser or turn off your computer and the existing alert can continue operating.
However, you should regularly monitor:
- TradingView Alert status
- Bybit Webhook status
- open positions
- available margin
- failed orders
- strategy synchronization
Automated trading should still be monitored.
29. COMMON PROBLEMS
No trade is opened
Check:
- Is Strategy Start Time active?
- Is the strategy waiting for entry conditions?
- Is the Entry Status Table showing all required conditions?
- Is the Initial Order Quantity greater than zero?
- Does Bybit have enough available balance?
- Is One-Way Mode enabled?
- Is the correct symbol selected?
- Is the Bybit webhook running?
The NGT Entry Status Table is specifically designed to show which entry conditions currently allow or block a new LONG entry.
TradingView alert triggers but Bybit does not open the order
Check:
- Webhook URL
- Message Template
- strategy ID
- selected symbol
- One-Way Mode
- available margin
- minimum order size
- quantity step
- Bybit Webhook status
Bybit can reject webhook orders due to insufficient margin, invalid symbol, missing parameters, position-mode mismatch, risk limits or invalid order sizes.
Wrong quantity is sent
Check:
Initial order value / USDT notional
and:
Contract qty step – round down
Remember:
NGT sends coin/token quantity — not the USDT number itself.
The script converts the USDT notional into quantity using the current price.
I changed NGT settings but my alert still uses the old settings
Delete the existing TradingView alert and create a new one.
TradingView does not automatically update an existing strategy alert when the chart strategy’s settings are changed.
The TradingView strategy shows a trade but no Bybit trade was executed
Historical Strategy Tester trades do not generate live alerts.
Strategy alerts are generated only for realtime order-fill events after the alert has been created.
30. QUICK SETUP CHECKLIST
